About the Artist

Hey y'all, my name is Olivia Dupree. I grew up in Eastern North Carolina, where the salt air, Pamlico River, and open ocean were part of everyday life. Raised in a fishing and boating family, I was immersed from a young age in the rhythms of the water and the hardworking culture of the marine industry. Whether we were out on the boat, working around the docks, or simply sharing stories about the sea, the ocean has always been a constant and meaningful presence in my life. That early connection to the water wasn’t just environmental — it was emotional, spiritual, and deeply personal.

As I grew older, I began to express that connection through art. What started as a creative outlet quickly evolved into a passion and eventually a calling. My work is heavily influenced by the coastal landscapes of my childhood, the textures of weathered wood and working vessels, the interplay of light on water, and the quiet strength of life lived by the tides. I strive to capture the essence of maritime life — its beauty, its resilience, and its deep-rooted traditions.

Through my art, I aim to honor the people and places that shaped me, while sharing the timeless draw of the ocean with others. Every work I create is a tribute to the environment, heritage, and people that have been with me from the very beginning.

Although the coast will always be at the heart of my inspiration, my creativity isn’t limited to maritime subjects. I’m passionate about capturing whatever moves or matters to the people I paint for. Whether it's a cherished pet, a family homestead, a quiet landscape, or a meaningful memory. I love the challenge of bringing any vision to life, and I approach each piece with the same care and intention, no matter the subject. At the end of the day, it’s about telling a story — and I’m here to help you tell yours through art.
